Students in Kindergarten through Third Grade are on a 5-day rotation. This means each student will attend Art class once a week for 60 minutes. If you have Art on Monday, you will have Art every Monday throughout the school year.
This year, LOES has six classes in some grade levels.
The grade levels with 6 classes with still follow the 5 day rotation. To make this work, the sixth class within a grade level will be split into 5 small groups and each small group will attend Special Area Classes* with another teacher and her students within that grade level.
To help everyone with the schedule (who has what on which day), below is a list containing who has what Special Area Class on what day. This way your child can plan ahead (paint shirts on Art day, running shoes for PE, Library books for Library, goggles for Science, etc.).
Mrs. Whitis' Third Grade Class is a "Split" class when they attend Special Area Classes.
Special Area Classes. * “Special Area Classes” include Visual Arts, Music, Science, PE (Physical Education), Computer Lab, and Library. May also be called "Enrichment Classes".
