School-Wide Theme: Ocean Life
Drawings that need some color.Below are some of my drawings done in class (class demonstrations). Unfortunately, I never got around to finishing them (completing the background and adding color). Just click on the PDF files under the images, print, draw, and add color to them. Finish them your way.

Art Hub For Kid LinksI have added some of my favorite "Art Hub For Kids" links pertaining to our school-wide theme, ocean life.
"Art Hub For Kids" is a kid friendly website that contains a huge library of how to draw Youtube videos. We sometimes use this website in class as a starting point to larger projects and drawings. After completing the steps from the video, I encourage the students to create a background. The background helps tell the story about the character they drew. For example, if students draw a cat; Where is the cat? Is the cat in an alley? In a jungle? On a sofa? What is the cat doing? Are there other characters in the story? Click on the titles below to view the Art Hub for Kids video. Have fun. How to Draw a Sea Turtle
My Favorite Ocean-Art Book.Staying with the school-wide theme, "Making a commotion in the ocean.", I read, I'm the Biggest Thing in the Ocean by Kevin Sherry to my classes. Pam Wolfe later animated the book which cracks me up every time I watch it. Click below to see the animated version and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
